Inside the Love Lives of “The Brady Bunch” Cast

Maureen McCormick and Mike Lookinland have both been married to their partners for decades

As a sitcom, The Brady Bunch served as more of a cultural movement, sharing the love story that brought Carol and Mike Brady together to blend their six children into a big, chaotic family after their wedding.

Although the show concluded in 1974, the lives of its cast members have continued to evolve in fascinating and sometimes unexpected ways over the last five decades.

Some of the former Brady Bunch actors have been in long-term relationships and marriages, while others have chosen to fully embrace the single life.

From public romances and reality TV appearances to private struggles and quiet retirements, each actor’s journey reflects the complex reality behind the iconic TV family.

But which cast members are married and which are single today? Read on to learn all about the real-life loves of the Brady Bunch cast.

Maureen McCormick and Michael Cummings

Maureen McCormick played Marcia Brady, the eldest of the Brady daughters.

She faced personal challenges, including struggles with sobriety and depression, after the show ended. However, she began getting sober around 1985, the same year she married Michael Cummings.

The couple welcomed daughter Natalie in 1989 and have been going strong for over four decades.

McCormick’s acting career post-Brady Bunch included guest roles on shows like The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and Passions. She also ventured into reality television, participating in Celebrity Fit Club and Hollywood Squares. 

In recent years, she has been involved in various projects, including a role in the 2022 season of The Masked Singer and a guest appearance on Dancing with the Stars in 2023.

Barry Williams

Barry Williams is known for his role as Greg Brady, the eldest Brady son. 

He has been married three times. He married Diane Martin in 1990, but the pair divorced after two years together. In 1999, he wed Eila Mary Matt and went on to welcome their son, Brandon, in 2003. However, the couple called it quits in 2005.

Williams welcomed his second child, daughter Samantha, in 2012 while dating Elizabeth Kennedy. His relationship with Kennedy fizzled out one year after Samantha's birth.

He went on to say "I do" for the third time in 2017, when he married Tina Mahina.

Williams has made guest appearances on shows like That Girl, Mission: Impossible, and The Mod Squad. In 2022, he participated in The Masked Singer, and in 2023, he joined Dancing with the Stars, where he dedicated a performance to his late TV mother, Florence Henderson. 

Eve Plumb and Ken Pace

Eve Plumb played Jan Brady, the middle Brady daughter. 

Plumb married Rick Mansfield in 1979, but the marriage ended in divorce less than two years later. She later moved on with Ken Pace, a business and technology consultant, and the two have been happily married since 1995. 

She resides in Laguna Beach, Calif., and has been involved in local community activities, such as serving on the city's Design Review Board.

After The Brady Bunch, she appeared in guest roles on shows like That '70s Show and Army Wives and took a recurring role on Fudge.

Christopher Knight is known for his role as Peter Brady, the middle Brady son. 

Knight was married to Julie Schulman from 1989 to 1992. Three years after their split, he tied the knot with Toni Erickson. However, the two went their separate ways ways in 2000.

He has appeared on Joe's World and was part of The Surreal Life from 2003 to 2005, where he met and fell in love with former America's Next Top Model winner Adrianne Curry. 

They married in 2006, and their relationship was featured in the reality series My Fair Brady. The couple separated in 2011, and Knight tied the knot for a fourth time in 2016 to Cara Kokenes.  

Susan Olsen

Susan Olsen played Cindy Brady, the youngest of the Brady children.

She has been married twice. In 1988, she married Steve Ventimiglia, but the pair got divorced in 1990. Five years later, she married Mitch Markwell. The two welcomed their son, Michael, in 1997.

However, she and Markwell called it quits in 2004. 

Olsen has been involved in various projects, including hosting the podcast The Real Brady Bros, where she reflects on her experience on the show and shares insights with fans.

Mike Lookinland and Kelly Wermuth

Mike Lookinland, who played Bobby Brady, has led a relatively private life compared to his costars. 

He married his high school sweetheart, Kelly Wermuth, on May 1, 1987. The couple has two sons: Scott Michael Lookinland, born on July 6, 1990, who played a younger version of his dad in the 2000 film Growing Up Brady, and Joseph Kelly "Joe" Lookinland, born on Aug. 6, 1993. 

He has worked behind the scenes in the television industry, including roles as a production assistant and camera operator.  

Florence Henderson and Dr. John George Kappas

Florence Henderson is known for her iconic role as Carol Brady, the family matriarch.

She married her first husband, Ira Bernstein, in 1956, and they had four children together before divorcing in 1985. 

In 1987, she married Dr. John George Kappas, a hypnotherapist, and they remained together until he died in 2002. 

Henderson appeared on reality shows like The Surreal Life and Dancing with the Stars, and hosted several cooking shows, including Good Food, Good Deeds and Who's Cooking with Florence Henderson. 

She passed away in 2016 at the age of 82.

Robert Reed

Robert Reed portrayed Mike Brady, the patriarch of the Brady family.

Reed was married to Marilyn Rosenberg from 1954 to 1959. The two welcomed a daughter, Karen, during their short marriage.

He later earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the miniseries Roots before joining the cast of the medical drama Nurse. 

He passed away in 1992 at the age of 59. Colon cancer was originally thought of as the sole cause of death, but it was later revealed that he was also HIV-positive.

Reed kept his sexuality a secret from the public throughout his entire life; however, after his death, his castmates shared that they had known he was gay.

McCormick paid tribute to her late costar for Pride Month in 2024, sharing a photo of Reed, captioned, "This #PrideMonth and always I think of you Bob. Love and miss you ❤️."

Ann B. Davis

Ann B. Davis played Alice Nelson, the Brady family's housekeeper.

She never married and led a life focused on her faith and personal interests, earning two Emmys for her work on The Bob Cummings Show.

She passed away in 2014 at the age of 88.
