Zepa, a popular Japanese content creator, has died at age 26.
“Zepa has passed away unexpectedly,” read a translated announcement on her X account posted on April 5. “On behalf of the deceased, I deeply apologize for the abrupt news of their passing. The funeral was held privately with only family members in attendance. We sincerely thank you for the kindness and support extended to the deceased during their lifetime.”

The late content creator was also transparent about her struggles with alcoholism, occasionally sharing posts about her high alcohol intake and messages about trying to cut back. She seemingly last updated her social media accounts on March 31 with a post on X implying that she had “alcohol dependency.”
