Lynsi Snyder is standing with her community after three people were killed during a shooting at an Idaho In-N-Out.
On Saturday, Aug. 1, authorities were called to the restaurant chain after receiving reports that shots were fired around 2:30 p.m. local time.
At least three people died in the shooting, Twin Falls public information coordinator Josh Palmer told NBC News. Twin Falls County Commissioner Brent Reinke also told the Associated Press that Sheriff Jack Johnson said five people were hurt in the incident.
Following the incident, the In-N-Out president, 44, shared a statement emphasizing that her “heart is broken” due to the tragedy.

“She was taking care of our most important asset — our Customers, and her life was taken by a disgusting human who doesn’t value the lives of others or his own,” she continued. “He shot both on our property and off, and ended his life shortly after he took the precious lives of our Associate and Customers, innocent people who never saw it coming.”
In addition to noting that the exact number of fatalities has not been confirmed, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks previously confirmed that a suspected shooter has died.
“In-N-Out will be mourning with the families and praying for them as they tread through a very painful season,” Snyder wrote in her statement. “I am no stranger to loss, but this is so incredibly tough, and my heart also goes out to all of the Associates and Customers who were there during this traumatic event.”
In a press conference, Hicks said that, since the restaurant is located in a large shopping complex with multiple major retailers, hundreds of potential witnesses who were at the scene were expected to be interviewed.
“I love you all, and I ask you to turn to God, not in anger, but seeking comfort and strength for those who are hurting,” Snyder concluded in her statement. “We will stand together, and we will do everything we can to learn from this situation.”
Hours after the incident occurred, the Twin Falls Police Department stated that “there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time” — despite misinformation being spread about the shooter’s identity on social media.
“We would ask that people refrain from sharing information in an attempt to not share misinformation,” officials wrote on Facebook. “We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation during this difficult and evolving situation.”
