Police in Tucson were able to track down the suspect in a road rage shooting with the help of a unique clue — Hello Kitty.
David Anthony Cedeno was arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records viewed by PEOPLE. Cedeno, 29, is facing 10 criminal charges in connection with the shooting. His bond is set at $75,000.
The 29-year-old allegedly shot into the car next to him, injuring two teenage girls, KGUN reported, citing police. The alleged victims of the shooting, which occurred on March 14 near Golf Links and Kolb roads, told police they remembered the vehicle from which Cedeno allegedly shot at them had a custom license plate and a Hello Kitty sticker, per the outlet. The identities of the alleged victims have not been publicly released.
The alleged victims claim in court documents that they tried to switch lanes when a car Cedeno was allegedly driving cut them off, KVOA reported. They ended up behind Cedeno's vehicle and noticed the Hello Kitty sticker on the back windshield.
When both cars turned on Golf Links, they ended up side by side, and the teens spotted Cedeno with a handgun. They heard gunshots and discovered they had both been struck in the leg, police allege.

Cedeno allegedly told police that he heard shots fired from the alleged victims' vehicle before he shot into their car, per KGUN, citing court documents. When police arrived at Cedeno's residence to arrest him, authorities also found a woman there who allegedly admitted to removing the Hello Kitty sticker from the vehicle following the shooting, the outlet reports.
The woman was allegedly in the car with Cedeno during the shooting, and "did not see or hear anything that suggested a gun in the other car," per the outlet, citing police.
Cedeno appeared in court on Monday, March 16, in Pima County, Ariz., according to local outlet KVOA.
“The defendant poses a significant risk to the public intended of willingness to fire on a fully occupied vehicle indiscriminately for a road rage incident," Joshua Moser, an Arizona state prosecutor, said in court, according to the outlet. "And then he attempted to hide his involvement by removing the license plate, removing the stickers."
“Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon there’s five counts of that," the Pima County Judge said in court, per KVOA. "Aggravated assault with serious physical injury there’s two counts of that. Drive by shooting, discharging of firearm at an occupied structure and discharging a firearm within the city limits."
