After a tense Let’s Marry Harry reunion, Amber Mozo — who married Harry Jowsey in the season finale — reveals where they stand more than 10 months after they tied the knot.
The travel photographer from Hawaii, 31, and the Australian reality star, 29, met on Netflix’s latest reality dating show, where Harry sets off to find his future wife with the help of his three friends, Amanda Kloots, Georgia Hassarati and Sonny Henty. The season culminated in Amber and Harry’s wedding, depicted in the finale episode released on Aug. 12.
Ahead of the show’s Aug. 26 reunion, Amber sat down with PEOPLE and opened up about her relationship with Harry, their breakup and seeing him for the first time after their January split.
After Harry chose Amber as his wife from a pool of 20 women, the newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii and Australia, where the pair encountered obstacles in their relationship, as Amber says Harry placed her in a “sticky situation.”
“We went back into the real world, and there were just things that I was not okay with, to be honest,” she explains, adding that she disliked how “he moved.” “I just want to be considered in a marriage … I didn’t see someone that wanted to consider me.”

During the reunion, Amber claimed that while they were in Australia, Harry spent time with a female influencer and didn’t prioritize being with her. Harry insisted it was because they needed to keep their relationship a secret for the sake of the show.
When they returned from their honeymoon, Amber shared she and Harry took some time apart to “cool down.” But after a couple of days, Harry expressed that he was ready to take their relationship to the next level and move in together. The pair were supposed to move in together in February, but broke up before then.
At the reunion, Amber claimed that they broke up because Harry “gaslit, manipulated and emotionally abused” her during their marriage, and she didn’t want to stay in a relationship with someone who would treat her the way he did. However, the reality star insisted that their relationship ended because they didn’t see “eye to eye.”
“He says it’s a miscommunication. That’s how he wants to say it is. It’s just not the case,” she says. “He can have his story all he wants. He didn’t say anything groundbreaking at the reunion or close it up nicely or say, ‘I’m sorry.’ He was just very dismissive.”

Stepping inside the studio where the reunion was filmed was “a little triggering,” Amber says.
“Coming on stage and seeing him for the first time in a very long time, and the way that things ended, it was uncomfortable,” she explains. “Going through a breakup a month after filming a wedding and knowing this is all public, and then you not making things right in between, and then forcing us to hash it out on a reunion stage.”
“He’s the type of person who loves [that] and doesn’t care about that because he’s done it so many times,” Amber adds. “Whereas, I’m a real girl. I went into this as real as possible, and I’m just a little shaken up by the way he handled things. He had very short answers, [saying], ‘We’re not each other’s people.’ ”
She explains that the reunion was the first time she saw Harry since they broke up in January, and she had found out about his and Dannelle’ Davidson’s rekindling a few days before. Dannelle and Amber were in the final two of the reality series when Harry chose Amber.
Before Amber came on stage for the reunion, Dannelle revealed that Harry reached out to her in January to tell her he was no longer with Amber and flew her out to Los Angeles to reconnect. According to Amber, she and Harry were still together at that point.

During the reunion, she and Dannelle shared their perspectives on the situation. Amber expressed feeling hurt by Dannelle’s betrayal and Harry cheating on her, while Dannelle explained she truly believed Harry was single when they reconnected.
“I’m super blindsided by the fact that he flew Dannelle out, and she was willing to go after us being married the month before and then us spending time in Australia,” Amber says. “I don’t understand what narrative he tells himself to make himself feel better, but how are you telling people you broke up [with me] when you’re telling me you want me to move in? And then saying it’s a miscommunication, then flying another girl in, then also having a new girlfriend that you post the week after you ghost me on February 1st? To do that to someone is, I mean, like I said, I don’t wanna be treated like that.”
“There could have been chances for Harry and Dannelle to tell me that that happened, and then I could not be so blindsided, but both of them didn’t,” she explained. “I just found out that he had been with Dannelle while we were together. So I was really, really upset, and I felt betrayed by both of them. I was just in a really devastated headspace. I hate feeling that way. I feel like one of them should have at least been honest with me.”
Amber says that though she was emotional during the reunion, she hopes her anger “doesn’t get translated to ‘I hate Dannelle.’ ” “I think I was so angry that they had both done that to me that that’s just how I felt,” she notes.
“He could have spent the time to make things right in between if he wanted to, and he didn’t,” Amber said of Harry’s remarks at the reunion. “Be honest with me, it is so horrible to find out that you are completely disposed of, which is what being ghosted is. On the show, he had talked about how he doesn’t want to promise the girl the world and then take it all away when he quite literally did that to me.”
She continued, “No one should ever be this confused in a relationship… There is no part of me that wants to deal with someone who would treat me like that.”
After filming, not only was Amber processing the fallout of her relationship with Harry, but says she was forced to face the reality of being on TV. Once the show premiered on Aug. 5, Amber was thrust into the public eye and bombarded by viewers’ perception of her and her marriage.
“Taking this all in is very mentally exhausting and draining, and I wasn’t allowed to talk about it online,” she explains. “Watching people say things and judge you, it’s super hard. It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and [it’s] what I’m going through right now. I went through a breakup privately. It’s hard to navigate. Everyone wants to narrate it and fill in the gaps.”
“Living in that breakup alone in silence, knowing we couldn’t talk about the show or talk about anything until the reunion of where we’re at, and then seeing people narrate it for me, this was a huge, huge storm I’m navigating, and I’m really happy to do the reunion and say my piece and move on with my life.”
Amber says she doesn’t regret being on the show or marrying Harry, saying the experience was “amazing” because she learned a lot about herself. “I don’t regret that for a second,” she adds. “I was so proud of myself.”
“I’m really excited to take what I learned from this and alchemize it into something beautiful. I am in a really hard part of my life right now, but I’m also trying to stay positive,” she explains.
Amber shares that she hasn’t dated anyone since her split with Harry, as she wasn’t in the right headspace and wanted to respect the show’s secrecy. However, she has hope that she will find the right person for her.
“I don’t want to take this experience and let it harden me. I think it’s actually softened me in a way,” she explains. “And I don’t wanna be jaded by this. I still wanna find my right person.”
