Gordon Ramsay Says Helping Daughter Holly ‘Stay Calm’ Before Walking Down the Aisle Was a Moment He’ll ‘Never Ever Forget’

Gordon Ramsay is thinking back to one of the most special days of his life.

The celebrity chef, 59, shared a series of photos on his Instagram as he looked back at his daughter Holly’s wedding this past December. In his caption, Ramsay got emotional as he described the time he spent in the car with his 26-year-old daughter before walking her down the aisle to her then-fiancé, competitive swimmer Adam Peaty.

“One of the most exciting car journeys ever in a father’s life is on the way to the Church with your beautiful daughter, incredible conversations and helping her to stay calm and relaxed ahead of our walk down the aisle ❤️,” Ramsay wrote, tagging his daughter, new son-in-law, and wife Tana Ramsay. “A moment I’ll never ever forget ❤️.”

The proud dad also included a photo of himself and his daughter Holly holding hands in the car, dancing together at the reception, posing with Tana and walking down the aisle together.

“I love you dad xx,” Holly wrote in Ramsay’s comments.

After tying the knot on Dec. 27 at The Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul (aka the Bath Abbey) in England, Holly spoke with British Vogue about her nuptials in an interview published on Jan. 2. She shared that her dad can’t contain his happy tears whenever they discuss her special day.

“Dad cries every time I talk about the wedding,” said Holly, who is the first of Ramsay’s six kids to get married.

Ramsay and his wife Tana are also parents to 27-year-old daughter Megan, 26-year-old son Jack (Holly’s fraternal twin), 24-year-old daughter Matilda, 6-year-old son Oscar and 2-year-old son Jesse.

The newlywed continued, “The other day I was asking him which car he and I would take to the church, and he welled up immediately.”

Ramsay ended up driving his daughter to the church in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, then escorted her inside before walking her down the aisle. Earlier in the day, they shared a first look and later at the reception, the pair had a sweet father-daughter dance.

“My father-daughter dance was so special, remembering that the last time dad saw this dress was when he danced with my mum at their wedding,” Holly said.

When Holly and Peaty announced their engagement back in September 2024, Ramsay expressed his support for the couple, welcoming Peaty into the family on Instagram.

“Congratulations to this gorgeous girl @hollyramsayy,” the celebrity chef captioned a photo of himself hugging his daughter. “So happy for you and @adam_peaty ! Hols, watching you become the woman you are today with your kindness and your love is absolutely infectious…Adam is a very lucky man !Welcome to the family ❤️.”
