Gal Gadot is speaking candidly about the life-threatening health scare she suffered while pregnant with her fourth baby girl.
On Monday, March 10, Gadot was promoting her latest movie, Snow White, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, when she began to recount the symptoms that led to medics discovering that she had blood clots during her pregnancy.
“I had a huge scare. All of a sudden, I realized what it means to be scared to death,” Gadot told host Jimmy Fallon.
Gadot, 39, described herself as being “very pregnant” when her painful symptoms began.
“I had a brain clot and it was a huge one. Like three, I had three,” she said, before adding jokingly, “When I do something, I do it all the way.”
“I had major headaches for three weeks and I was seeing doctors and different neurologists,” Gadot continued.”

The Red Notice actress said doctors initially blamed her symptoms on migraines and hormones.
However, after three weeks with no improvements, her mom pushed for her to get an MRI scan.
“We did, they found out this horrible thing and we were rushed to the hospital,” she said. “And they got the baby out immediately. I went through a thrombectomy.”
The surgical procedure, which takes between 1 to 3 hours, is used to remove a blood clot and, in some cases, can be used to treat strokes, according to Medical News Today. Untreated blood clots can affect blood supply to the brain and cause a life-threatening stroke, per the outlet.

Gadot went on to praise the “amazing” team at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles for “saving my life,” before reiterating the importance of getting troubling symptoms checked.
She described her daughter as “a little caterpillar” as she gushed about Ori being in good health.
The Wonder Woman actress, 39, and husband Jason Varsano, 49, were already parents to Alma, 13, Maya, 7, and Daniella, 3, before welcoming their daughter Ori, in March 2024.

Her reflective comments on The Tonight Show came after Gadot opened up about the situation on her Instagram, explaining that the scare made her realize “how fragile life can be.”
“It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, and in the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted was to hold on and live,” she said.
Speaking about Ori, she added, “Her name, meaning ‘my light,’ wasn’t chosen by chance. Before the surgery, I told [my husband] Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.”
