FKA twigs has some thoughts about people’s air travel habits.
In a Subway Takes with Kareem Rahma video shared to X on Wednesday, Jan 8, the “Cellophane” singer, 36, shared her takes on touching surfaces that other people have touched, mainly when it comes to traveling.
When asked for her take, twigs said “people who walk through TSA barefoot should be banned from travel and sent home.” Rahma agreed, saying that if someone were to walk through the TSA security screening with no socks on, they should go to “maybe jail.”
“They should put a jail in the airport for people that are walking around with their toes sticking out,” he continued, while the singer called it “inconsiderate” before getting into another “issue.”
“You know when you have to stand in security with your feet on the yellow feet? If someone’s bare feet have been where mine are about to go, even if they have socks on,” she said.
“I feel like their foot sweat is gonna soak through my socks and then I have to travel with that for eight hours. And know that we’ve touched feet.” She then confirmed that she believed the other travelers’ “foot breath” will travel through her socks.
Rahma, meanwhile aired his own grievances: when people wore shorts or tank tops on the plane. “It’s freezing in there!”
Elsewhere in the video, twigs mentioned that if she is getting pat down through security, she will ask the TSA officer to change their gloves, since they’re “massaging hundreds of people” and then have the “massage hands” on her for the duration of her flight.
The Crow actress then revealed that she has contact OCD, saying that she can “basically map out everything that’s been touched in a room,” hence her concerns with touching other surfaces while traveling.

Rahma then grabbed the subway pole and jokingly tried to shake twigs’ hand. Fans were not lost on the irony of having this conversation on an N.Y.C. subway, which is considered significantly dirty.
Others agreed with twigs’ travel habits. “Agree, never put my feet on the yellow foot marks. Just outside of them,” one person wrote.
“I agree with the notion that if one walks barefoot through a TSA checkpoint they should be arrested. 😂😂😂,” another fan said.
Long story short: if you see twigs at the airport, make sure you have socks on!
