Only Murders in the Building writer Taylor Cox had a one-of-a-kind accessory for the 2026 Emmys.
The Emmy-nominated writer revealed on Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 15, that she brought a bedazzled breast pump as her accessory for the big night and even shared multiple photos carrying it throughout the event and afterparty.
She kicked off her post with a shot of her holding the accessory as she smiled at the camera. Over her head were the words, “Best red carpet accessory goes to [Taylor Cox] breast pump!!!” She then shared a closeup of the accessory as she held it up inside the Peacock Theater.

The bedazzled breast pump, which was designed by artist Nora Casey, featured a combination of various-sized diamond jewels and pearls from top to bottom. Only the flange and valve were left untouched, and it also featured a pearl chain for Cox to hold onto.
She paired the accessory with a light orange dress that featured leafy prints and a 3D floral motif on her straps. She wore her hair up in a bun for the event and paired the outfit with silver jewelry, including drop earrings.
In one photo the screenwriter shared, she could even be seen jokingly bridging the breast pump to her chest as she looked at the camera. Other shots showed her posing with other nominees on the red carpet as she held her accessory for the camera, and another closeup of the accessory placed on her lap during the ceremony.
She also shared a different angle of the pump, showing off more of its details, including diamond-shaped jewels that were placed together to look like a flower, along with pink jewels placed on the top and middle of the pump.
Cox concluded her post with shots of her enjoying an afterparty with the bedazzled pump around her wrist, and she also shared a clip twirling the accessory a full 360 degrees to show off its shine at the party.

Only Murders in the Building earned five nominations, including for Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at this year’s Emmys. Despite the show having gone home empty-handed, Cox found a silver lining.

“We didn’t win, but we didn’t get mastitis!” she joked in her caption. (Mastitis is the painful inflammation of breast tissue that often involves an infection and commonly affects people who are breastfeeding, per Mayo Clinic.)
