A new chapter is beginning for Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) — and the Yellowstone franchise.
Yellowstone concluded its five-season run in December 2024, but the characters first introduced in the Western drama live on. Marshals, starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, premiered in March 2026, but that won't be it.
Beth and Rip's love story had a bittersweet ending in the Yellowstone series finale, but chaos will find the couple again as they embark on a new adventure in the upcoming spinoff, Dutton Ranch.
When asked about Dutton Ranch at the March 2026 premiere of Marshals, Yellowstone producer David Glasser said the series is "a way to explore the characters, but also mature the characters."
"I think that's the nice thing. We all want to be with them on the ride, but we also want to see them grow," he told Entertainment Tonight. "These shows always, for us, are a lot of dead bodies, a lot of people getting shot, a lot of crazy stuff happening, and just when you think we can't turn it up a notch, we do."
Beth and Rip are back, but they're not the only ones stepping back into their Yellowstone boots. Here's everything to know about the latest Yellowstone spinoff, Dutton Ranch.
What is Dutton Ranch about?

Yellowstone ended with Beth and Rip settling down on their new property, a "7,000-acre Dutton Ranch" outside of Dillon, Mont. — but the peaceful quiet seems to only last for so long.
"With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he's supposed to be," reads the series logline, referring to the teen Beth and Rip are guardians of.

Reilly and Hauser star in the Dutton Ranch, reprising their roles from Yellowstone. Fin Little is also back as Carter, who was first introduced in season 4.
Annette Bening has joined the series as Beulah Jackson, a "powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas."
Other members of the Dutton House cast include Ed Harris, Jai Courtney, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, Juan Pablo Raba and JR Villarreal, according to Variety.
Which characters from Yellowstone are in Dutton Ranch?

So far, the Yellowstone characters confirmed for Dutton Ranch are Beth, Rip and Carter — but don't be surprised to see other familiar faces from the world of the Western drama.
When news of the series was confirmed in December 2024, Deadline reported the spinoff is expected to include appearances from other Yellowstone cast members.
When does Dutton Ranch premiere?

Dutton Ranch has yet to announce a premiere date, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it is currently in production.
In January 2026, the upcoming spinoff was featured in a Paramount+ ad previewing series premiering later this year, so it will most likely debut sometime later in 2026.

Dutton Ranch will be available on Paramount+, according to a 2026 preview for the streaming platform.
It is unclear when Dutton Ranch will come out, but there are other Yellowstone titles to hold fans over until the series premieres.
Marshals airs on CBS, and the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923 are available on Paramount+. Meanwhile, all five seasons of the flagship Yellowstone series are streaming on Peacock.
