Donald Trump shared a profanity-laced Easter morning message on Truth Social, threatening Iran in relation to the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping route.
In a Sunday, April 5, post on his social media platform, Trump, 79, wrote, "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran," a reference to a political threat targeting Iranian infrastructure.
"There will be nothing like it!!!" the Republican president continued.
"Open the F—in' Strait, you crazy b——s, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!" Trump added, concluding his message: "Praise be to Allah."

Trump's remarks were shared as the war with Iran, launched by the United States and Israel on Feb. 28, continues. International pressure is mounting for the war to end, as the global economy reels from rising oil prices. (The Strait of Hormuz is a major waterway for the oil industry.)
The president recently extended the deadline for negotiations with Iran and paused threats to the country's energy, oil and water infrastructures. The deadline is now expected to expire on Monday, April 6.
Trump addressed the deadline in a Saturday, April 4, Truth Social post, writing, "Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out."
He added, "48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!"

During a live address to the nation on April 1, Trump said the war in Iran was "nearing completion."
"We’ve done all of it. Their Navy is gone. Their Air Force is gone. Their missiles are just about used up or beaten. Taken together, these actions will cripple Iran's military, crush their ability to support terrorist proxies and deny them the ability to build a nuclear bomb," he continued, adding that the United States' armed forces "have been extraordinary."
Trump also framed the war as part of ongoing efforts to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and said that the regime change in Iran — which he claimed was not his administration's original goal — is "less radical" and "more reasonable."
Trump explained that if no deal was reached, the U.S. would hit "key targets" in Iran, though he offered no explanation of what the terms of a deal might be. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote in an open letter that "the choice between confrontation and engagement is both real and consequential," and a spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry denied the country was pursuing a ceasefire, according to The New York Times.
