A 59-year-old dad from a Chicago suburb has been missing for two weeks now.
Daniel “Dan” Davis, of Merrionette Park, was last seen by people he knows early in the morning on Thursday, Nov. 25, while he was leaving the bar he’s worked at for almost 25 years.
Since then, although he remains missing, Wendy Davis told NBC affiliate WMAQ that her dad has been seen “going through people’s yards, cutting through alleys” and he’s even interacted with a couple of people to ask for directions back to his place of work.
“We have like 10 different videos [of him] walking around pretty disoriented,” added Wendy.
Officials have issued an endangered missing person alert and his family is asking that the entire community keep an eye out for Dan.
“This ongoing search for my dad has been a two-week-long roller coaster that still has yet to actually feel real,” Wendy tells PEOPLE in a statement. “My dad would never believe just how many people have joined together for him.”
“We are doing everything you can think of – canvassing flyers, checking cameras, talking to kind strangers, and making a whole lot of noise, that’s for sure,” she adds. “We need the community to continue to spread the word and check their cameras. Giving up is not an option.”

The family’s painful saga began around 11:15 p.m. local time on Monday, Nov. 24, when Dan was involved in a car accident and refused medical attention, according to WMAQ and Patch.
According to a Cook County Sheriff’s Office accident report, neither driver was suspected of impaired driving and Dan was believed to have suffered a head injury, Patch reported.
His family told the outlet that after his car was towed, Dan was driven to his place of work by an officer from the sheriff’s department.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for additional comment.
By 1:15 a.m. the next morning, Dan was last seen leaving 115 Bourbon Street wearing a black baseball hat, black Harley Davidson jacket, red sweatshirt and black jeans, the Chicago Police Department said in a Nov. 27 alert.
Officials confirmed that he was spotted on camera on Nov. 26, around 3 p.m., on Old Western Avenue in Blue Island, Ill. and then at St. Donatus Church on South Union Street at 6:30 p.m.

Following the 59-year-old man’s disappearance, his loved ones and the local community have diligently searched for him and have shared alerts via flyers and by posting on social media.
The video footage has concerned Wendy, who told WMAQ that Dan doesn’t vary from his routine and has no known medical conditions.
“He’s walking a bit crooked and seems confused,” she told the outlet.

On Monday, 115 Bourbon Street invited people to a candlelight vigil in Dan’s honor, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9. The event is to be followed by a community search party.
“Come pray with us to bring Dan home,” the business said. “There is power in standing together as a community. Your prayers, your presence, and your eyes on the ground matter more than ever.”
