- A man and woman, who are now dating, were born two minutes apart at the same hospital
- Faye McComb and Joshua Young met years later in college and began dating in September 2025
- They believe their shared birthday and birthplace are a rare coincidence, calling their relationship “fate”
A couple is convinced their relationship is “fate” after discovering they were born just minutes apart at the same hospital.
On March 3, 2004, both Faye McComb and Joshua Young were born at Antrim Hospital in Northern Ireland, according to Kennedy News & Media. McComb was born at 2:43 a.m. local time, while Young was born two minutes later at 2:45 a.m.
Despite living eight minutes apart in their hometown, the pair, both 22, didn’t meet until they were both studying real estate at Ulster University in Belfast.
Young sent McComb a message on social media after they spoke on a night out, which led to their first date in September 2025.

“Me and [Joshua] were in the same university class. I’d seen him, but I never really spoke to him or anything,” said McComb. “Although looking back, there was a class picture and we were standing right next to each other without realizing.”
“In September 2025, we were both out in a bar not even close to where we live. It was his first night out in over a year, and we both weren’t meant to go out,” she continued. “I was about to leave, and I saw him and went over to him and asked how he was and stuff, and that was really it.”
“Then [a couple of weeks later], I was in Belfast one night, and I put a post on my private [social media] story asking if anyone could give me a lift home,” McComb added. “He messaged me and said he could, but I had already got a lift sorted at that point, but I thought that was really nice of him for offering.”
“I asked him if he wanted to go out bowling a couple of days later and he said yes, and that was it from there. We have seen each other every day since,” she further recalled.
McComb said she was “shocked” she hadn’t met Young sooner after finding out they were born around the same time at the same place.
“I knew that he was born on the same day,” she explained. “But then we were out for dinner one night in October and I asked him what time he was born at. He didn’t know, so he texted his mom, and she replied saying 2:45 a.m. We couldn’t believe it.”

“I was just shocked, especially when he said he was born in Antrim as well. It’s crazy,” continued McComb. “I was just thinking, ‘What are the chances of that happening?’ So I Googled it, and it said it’s a one-in-several-million chance that couples are born on the same date, time and place.”
Young and McComb officially became boyfriend and girlfriend on Dec. 18.
“I’d say it’s fate that we’re together,” McComb said. “We’re both very similar, and we get along very well. We’re just like the same people with the same goals, interests and morals.”
