Chloe Fineman is a master impressionist. Yet, she can’t quite nail down her impression of Harry Styles!
On the SNL50: The Anniversary Special red carpet, the Saturday Night Live cast member — well known for her uncanny impersonations of stars like Drew Barrymore saw Britney Spears — admitted that she can’t figure out how to mimic Styles’ voice accurately.
Styles made his hosting debut in 2019. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair never appeared in a skit together.
Although Fineman didn’t specify what sketch she was doing the impersonation for, the comedian recalled trying her hand at portraying the Grammy winner. She noted that Styles’ reaction was immense — but not in a good way.
“[My impersonation of] Harry Styles is really bad,” she told SNL50 correspondent Amelia Dimoldenberg. “I did it and he was like at the table and was so devastated by how bad it was.”
However, some of her impressions really do hit the mark — at least, according to Jojo Siwa. Except for the dancing, which could have been more “full out,” Siwa said “everything was perfect” in Fineman’s Nov. 16 impersonation of her auditioning for Wicked.

Fineman joined SNL as a featured player for its 45th season in 2019 and became a full-time cast member in 2021 as the 47th season kicked off.
In September 2024, Fineman opened up to PEOPLE about her experience on the long-running sketch comedy show. Working with the women on set, she said, didn’t involve “a lot of screaming,” which was rare.
“There’s a level of trust that happens as an actor and in movie-making,” Fineman said. “And I think when you have a woman who really, like, intrinsically understands you, magic happens.”
As for SNL newcomers, Fineman shared they’ll be “thrown into the fire” on the show, but ultimately should remember to have fun.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
