Braxton Berrios is setting the record straight when it comes to his relationship with his ex Alix Earle’s family.
Earle’s new reality TV show, Earle Meets World, chronicles the social media star and her family’s life as they navigate their viral fame. It also follows Alix after her breakup with the New York Giants wide receiver, after the pair dated publicly for three years.
In one scene, the family is together in Aspen ahead of a music festival. Anxieties are high as Alix knows Braxton is also attending the festival, recently after the breakup. After snowmobiling, the family stops for lunch at a cabin, where Alix’s youngest sibling, Thomas, 9, tells them Braxton has been “ignoring” his text messages.

“Braxton’s been ignoring your text messages?” gasped Alix, to which Thomas replied, “I said, ‘Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.’ ”
“And he hasn’t answered you?” clarified Alix.
“He hasn’t seen it,” said Thomas. Alix then called the action “really mean,” before her father, TJ Earle, added, “Thomas, that’s unforgivable. You can hate all of us, but you can’t hate Thomas.” Alix added in agreement, “You don’t have to answer me, but you will answer my brother.”
However, Berrios took to social media ahead of the weekend to tell his side of the story. After a TikTok user posted a video following their viewing of the TV show, wondering if Braxton ever texted Thomas back, he replied, “All love but this was hard to see because it never happened, Thomas is my guy and to this day I’ve never not replied to him.”
The show chronicles Alix’s life after the painful breakup as she navigates new opportunities without Berrios, whom she calls her first love throughout the series. The show leaves off on a cliffhanger, with Alix asking Berrios if he could ever envision them getting back together. “Oh, Alix,” Berrios can be heard saying over the phone, before the final credits roll.
Back in December 2025, PEOPLE confirmed that the influencer, 25, and the NFL player, 30, had split after two and a half years of dating.
Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of the show’s release, Earle reveals that her family had already been in talks with Netflix for their reality series before Earle and Berrios’s breakup.
When they first started considering the idea of filming a reality TV series in summer 2025, Earle says there were times when she wondered whether her family had “enough going on” in their lives that would be interesting to viewers.
“I really don’t want to do a show that’s manufactured drama because I feel like it’s easy — everyone can see right through that,” she says. “Then, all of a sudden, it was the most explosive four months ever.”

As a result, Earle’s breakup became one of the season’s major plot points. The content creator even acknowledges that some viewers might think that she was “dragging” out the breakup for the sake of the show — but defends how she acted.
“I’m just a girl and going through a breakup,” she says. “I don’t care if it’s my 45th time crying about it — it’s how I feel. And I just tried to put it out there. I’m like, ‘I don’t care if people are judging me and saying it’s crazy.’ ”

Even Earle admits she gets “stressed out” watching the final scene: “I’m like, covers over my eyes. I’m feeling for her in that moment.”
And when asked if there’s still a door open for a rekindling, Earle tells PEOPLE, “We’re on good terms, and for what the future holds, we don’t know. We will see.”
All episodes of Earle Meets World are available to stream on Netflix.
