Billy Ray Cyrus is offering his congratulations to Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus on their Grammy wins.
On Feb. 2, the Hannah Montana alum celebrated his daughter and Queen Bey’s Grammy win for best country duo/group performance for their song “II Most Wanted.”
“Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins!” Billy, 63, wrote on Instagram beneath an image announcing their win. “Couldn’t be prouder!!!”
Miley, 32, who brought her boyfriend Maxx Morando and her mother — and Billy’s ex-wife — Tish to the awards show, “liked” the Instagram post. The Grammy win was the first Miley took home in the country category — beating out her dad who is perhaps best known for his country song “Achy Breaky Heart.”
The “Flowers” singer also celebrated her win onstage at the awards ceremony when presenting the Grammy for record of the year, shouting out Beyoncé, 43, and joking that even if she wasn’t named as the winner, she might just say it was.

Miley’s acknowledgment of her dad’s congratulations comes after Billy’s concerning performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration, where he gave bizarre performances of “Old Town Road” and “Achy Breaky Heart.” Fans online called it an “epic disaster,” “cringe-worthy” and “legitimately concerning.”
Billy chalked up the performance to technical issues. “I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, ‘You’re on,’ you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people and we had a blast. That’s called rock n roll!!!” he told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement.
He doubled down on his performance the following day on Instagram, telling fans, “I just don’t think you understand.”

Miley’s brother Trace penned an open letter to Billy on Instagram days later addressing his behavior. “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it,” he said in his emotional plea.
“As I write this with tears in my eyes I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon.”
“I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help,” Trace, 35, continued. “You know how to reach me. Till that day comes I will continue to pray for you.”

Miley has kept herself separate from the family drama and doesn’t want to get involved, as per an exclusive source.
“Miley used to feel overwhelmed by the family drama. She worked hard to remove herself. She’s not about to get involved again,” a source told PEOPLE of Miley in January. “She’s in a great place now. She’s thriving and looking out for herself,” they added at the time.
