Bethenny Frankel is clapping back at criticism of Meghan Markle’s “glossy, perfect show.”
The former Bravolebrity briefly mentioned the Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” on Monday’s “The Skinny Confidential” podcast.
“They live in a beautiful home in Santa Barbara, [Calif.],” the Skinnygirl creator, 54, said of Markle, 43, and her husband, Prince Harry.
“He’s a prince. She was a duchess,” Frankel continued. “So she’s got a glossy perfect show of her house — what is she supposed to do? Be like me and have seaweed in her teeth?”
The “Real Housewives of New York” alum declared that “it’s OK for [Markle’s series] to be perfect,” adding that the other option — “cosplay[ing] flawed” — is “annoying too.”
She told Markle, “Be who you actually are. We’ll meet you there. Don’t just get caught in the riptide between both.”
Last month, however, Frankel made headlines for dissing the “Suits” alum’s As Ever rebrand as too “perfect” and lacking “identity.”
In a lengthy TikTok rant, the former reality star explained that Markle tried to deliver “really unfiltered, fresh out of bed content” after being criticized for her “Martha Stewart perfect” trailer in January.
Frankel said the initial vibe was “fine,” urging Markle to “commit to that bit.”
She continued, “It’s hard for people to be authentic when they’re not really sure on their own who they are or what it is. And you can never let the market decide what you do or what you sell or what you produce.”
Frankel, who said Markle and Harry’s “flailing” moves post-royal exit “never land” with the public, has criticized the couple before.
She made headlines in 2021 for reacting to the pair’s viral Oprah Winfrey interview by saying, “Cry me a river.”
The “Bethenny Ever After” alum said on Monday that she “walked into the fire” with that comment but ultimately wanted to “be their advisor” and help with “business choices.”
She added, “She would have been great in traditional celebrity land. … It’s f–king gnarly out there. It’s a war zone, and you need to know where the land mines are..”
Frankel clarified that she has “nothing against” Markle, speculating that they would “have a nice time” together.
