Authorities seized about 11 lbs. of cocaine worth an estimated $580,000 after allegedly finding the drugs hidden inside bags of lollipops at Dublin Airport in Ireland.
The seizure took place on Thursday, Sept. 10, as part of Operation Skein, an investigation led by the country’s Economic Crime Bureau, according to a press release from Ireland’s Revenue office.
According to authorities, Revenue officers, assisted by a specialized drug enforcement team, stopped and searched the luggage of a passenger who had arrived on a flight originating from Brazil.

Authorities said officers discovered the cocaine concealed inside bags of lollipops.
A man in his 60s was arrested in connection with the investigation and later charged. He appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Friday, Sept. 11.

During subsequent searches, Irish police — known as gardaí — seized about $18,600 in cash and additional controlled drugs valued at roughly $16,800, authorities said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The Irish police and Dublin Airport did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
