Chicago Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca announced on Monday, April 6 that the team is trading Reese, 23, to the Atlanta Dream after two seasons.
In exchange for Reese, the Sky will receive two first-round picks — one in the 2027 draft and a second in the 2028 draft — in the trade.
"This trade is designed to achieve roster balance and represents a great opportunity for all parties. Angel has achieved many record-breaking milestones in her first two years in the WNBA and has been a competitive force for the Sky," Pagliocca continued in the statement.

In a statement to The Athletic, the WNBA star said Monday that she is "beyond grateful for the opportunity to join the Atlanta Dream organization."
"I’m focused on continuing to grow my game, competing at the highest level, connecting with the fans, and giving everything I’ve got to the Dream," she added.
Atlanta's general manager Dan Padover called Reese a "dynamic talent and a perfect fit for what we're building in Atlanta," according to The Athletic. “She has already proven herself as one of the most impactful players in the league, and her competitiveness, production and drive to win align seamlessly with our vision. This is an exciting moment for our organization and our fans," he added.
Dream head coach Karl Smesko said her "ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor is elite" and complimented Reese's "energy, toughness and instincts" in a statement to the outlet.
Reese's time in Chicago comes to an end after an up-and-down two years. In September, she apologized to her Sky teammates after she told the Chicago Tribune she'd leave the team if they didn't get better players.
"I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me," she said at the time, adding that she's "not settling for the same [expletive] we did this year."
She later apologized, saying, she was "probably frustrated with myself" at the time and added, "I really didn't intentionally mean to put down my teammates, because they've been through this with me throughout the whole year."
Reese averaged 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds with the Sky last season, as the team finished last overall in the Eastern Conference with a 10-34 record.
