Andy Cohen is the perfect proposal assistant!
On the After Show of Wednesday, Dec. 18’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the host, 56, helped a man carry out his surprise marriage proposal to his girlfriend.
After taking questions from the show’s virtual fans for Real Housewives guests Bronwyn Newport and Melissa Gorga, Cohen then gave the floor to the studio audience. “Every so often on the After Show we take questions from our studio audience, anyone in the audience have a question?” he asked as he stood up.
Pointing to a man in the crowd, he said, “Sir, you know what you should come up with him because you are so cute and you guys watch Bravo together,” Cohen told the man and his girlfriend.
As the couple made their way to stand in front of Cohen and his guests, the man, named David Brown, then revealed that the only person he had a question for was his other half.
“I just want to consult you for a second, Andy,” Brown began. “You know, I’ve been dating her for seven years and a half, coming up on eight, and it feels like at some point that the title ‘girlfriend’ doesn’t feel appropriate, do you think I should act on that?”
“I do, I really do,” Cohen replied.
Brown then took out a ring from his pocket as his girlfriend Danielle Bryant began to tear up and covered her mouth in shock.
Taking in the proposal, Gorga, 45, Newport, 39, along with the audience, couldn’t help but clap and squeal with excitement as they watched the engagement unfold.
Getting down on one knee, Brown said, “Danielle Christine Bryant, you are the love of my life. We’ve grown together for seven years and I promise you to never stop growing, will you please marry me?”

Overcome with emotion, the surprised fiancée nodded her head before holding out her hand for Brown to put the ring on her finger.
The pair then shared a sweet kiss as the studio erupted in applause.
Asked by Cohen if she was surprised, Danielle responded, “Yes.”
Cohen went on to explain how Brown had “DM’d me and he said he just wanted tickets and he wanted to propose to you in New York City and I said, ‘Why don’t you do it here?’ ”

“So happy for you,” he added.
Cohen also revealed that the day was extra special due to another couple, whose ceremony he officiated three years ago in the Bravo Clubhouse, being present in the audience. ‘It’s a night of love here in the Clubhouse!” he noted.
Brown later shared clips of the engagement on his Instagram page and thanked the Bravo broadcaster for his help.
“Here’s to forever ❤️ shoutout @bravoandy for the assist,” his caption read.
