The Knives Out actress, 38, was seen on a romantic getaway to Spain’s Formentera island with Venezuelan singer Beto Montenegro on Aug. 2. The two were photographed holding hands and kissing while heading down to the beach on the smallest of Spain’s Balearic islands in the Mediterranean Sea.

De Armas was summer-ready in a black and white patterned dress with matching flip-flops, while Montenegro sported a white tee, teal shorts and a green cap. In one photo, de Armas wrapped her arms around Montenegro while the two kissed. In another, the singer reached out for her hand while they walked along the rocky path to the beach.
The musician and de Armas were first linked earlier this summer after they were spotted out together in Madrid a number of times, including in a video published by Spanish outlet Hola of the two dancing along to music at a concert together.
A rep for de Armas has not yet responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Montenegro is the frontman of Venezuelan band Rawayana, that became the first group from the country to win a Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album in 2025. He formed the band in 2007, and they have since put out six albums, most recently, ¿Dónde es el after? which translates to “Where is the after-party?”

De Armas was most recently linked to Tom Cruise, with whom she’s starring in an action-packed project with director-producers Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie. The two were first spotted together in February 2025 and continued to step out together throughout the summer, including while on a getaway in July when they were photographed holding hands.
However, the two never confirmed their romance, and by October, it appeared the relationship had fizzled.
“She’s single, though, and has been for a while,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “She stays in touch with Tom and they still have an upcoming movie project that she’s looking forward to.”
The actress was also previously linked to Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and Ben Affleck, whom she dated from 2020 to 2021 after meeting on the set of the 2022 thriller Deep Water.

Following her relationship with Affleck, de Armas said in a 2022 interview with Elle that she moved out of Los Angeles in part because the public attention toward her relationship was “horrible.”
