This year, as you check out big-ticket items like smart TVs and Dyson vacuums, why not add a tiny home to your virtual cart?
That’s right, you can now have one shipped straight to you in just a few weeks. Tiny houses are still living large, offering a smaller price tag, lighter footprint, and a build that’s ready faster than you can unpack.
Many come with all the essentials — full bathrooms, solar panels, and even outdoor patio spaces. Our latest prefab find is a modern coastal-inspired one-bedroom with a spacious layout, roomy balcony, and front porch that’s surprisingly chic for something that folds up on a truck.

This 400-square-foot home is made of high-quality materials, including aluminum and steel. According to the brand, the exterior walls can withstand harsh weather conditions, so the house is sturdy year-round, even if you live in a rainy or snowy climate. After personally reaching out to the seller, I received a detailed breakdown of the compact dwelling.
The residence comes pre-wired for electricity and plumbing and includes a kitchenette with built-in cabinets and a roomy counter. There’s even enough space for a couch, coffee table, and some decorative touches. There’s a bedroom on the first floor and another living area upstairs that serves as a den, accessible by a built-in staircase and connected to a balcony. The seller also told PEOPLE that, as pictured on the product page, the roof can accommodate greenery, though vegetation isn’t included or installed by the seller. And the entire home is lined with double-pane windows that flood the space with natural light, making it feel bright and welcoming.
My favorite part of the tiny home is that you can tailor it to your needs and give it your own personal touch (for an additional cost). For instance, you can expand the home up to 800 square feet and add up to three additional rooms that could work for a home office or workout room. Also, the flooring, lighting, and exterior can be built to your preference. This way, the space feels truly your own on delivery day.
And the customization continues outside: You can choose dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows for tons of natural light or go with a design that prioritizes privacy with just a few high-set panes. Exterior stairs can be added as well, which would be good for homes set on uneven terrain or slightly elevated foundations. The seller suggests using Amazon’s messenger assistant for any questions or customization requests.
