Woodward, 83, who has already authored 24 bestselling books with Simon & Schuster, has covered everything from the Vietnam War and 9/11 to the invasion of Iraq and presidential decision-making throughout his 55 years at The Washington Post.
“For the first time in this one-of-a-kind reporting memoir, Woodward lifts the lid on his historic reporting relationships, some spanning several decades,” the book’s official synopsis reads. “This is the rare memoir that will break news. It is a return to Woodward’s own reporting story that captivated the world in All the President’s Men.”
Woodward’s upcoming memoir takes his commitment to bringing the public inside government administrations a step further by offering his personal views on everything he’s seen throughout his meaningful career, as preserved in his detailed notes and reflections.
He also uncovers in vivid detail the reporting methods he used to get to the bottom of so many hard-hitting stories.

“The scope and depth of his work have earned him a unique place in politics and journalism as perhaps the most enduring chronicler of American presidents,” The New York Times said of Woodward in 2020. “At either end of his long bibliography are two of the most divisive American presidents in generations: Richard Nixon and (Donald) Trump.”
