The ‘Call Her Daddy’ host first called out the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ finalist for creating “fake drama” in a TikTok video posted on April 13

Alix Earle and Alex Cooper’s feud continues.
On Wednesday, Sept. 1, Earle, 25, made a pointed comment when asked about her long-running rift with the 32-year-old media personality at the premiere of her new reality series, Earle Meets World.
“I’m happy that I said my piece and whatever,” she told Entertainment Tonight of addressing her drama with Cooper on camera in the Netflix show, which premieres on Friday, Sept. 4. “But I’m happier just to, like, on the premiere and having the show out there. And, you know, hers are getting canceled, so it is what it is.”
The comments came days after Variety and The Hollywood Reporter reported that Love Overboard, a dating show produced by Cooper, had been canceled by Hulu after a single season.
PEOPLE contacted Cooper’s team for comment, but did not hear back at the time of publishing.
The public drama between Earle and Cooper first bubbled up on April 13, when the Call Her Daddy host called out Earle by name in a TikTok, claiming that the Dancing with the Stars finalist was starting “fake drama” to “distract” from other things going on in her life.

“Hey girl, the passive aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things — I’ve got to call you out here,” said Cooper in her video. “You’re going to need to get specific and just say what you’ve got to say about me. There’s no NDA. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself.”
Hours later, Earle left a comment on the post, writing, “Okay on it!!” She also reposted the video on her own TikTok profile, and the following day, the Reale Actives founder shared footage of her initial reaction to Cooper’s message.
The recording shows Earle’s friends entering her bedroom and waking her up as one of them told her, “We have to show you a TikTok.” They then played Cooper’s TikTok as Earle sat up in bed to get a closer look. As the video began, Earle asked, “Is it funny?” Her friend replied, “No.”
After she finished watching, Earle told her friends, “Wait, that just literally made my whole day.” In overlaying text on the video, she added, “If you’re wondering, this is how I was woken up in the morning after Coachella.”
On April 15, Cooper posted more about the situation, this time denying speculation that her beef with Earle was a “PR stunt.” In a series of Instagram Stories, Cooper also called out fellow content creator Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
“This girl on girl s— needs to stop. While Alix tries to get her story together, let me address Brianna Chickenfry, who is adding onto the fake narrative and dog pile. Brianna, you coming online saying I’m a mean girl, that I’m going to get destroyed, in peoples comments saying l hate Alex Cooper,” Cooper wrote.
In following posts, she shared screenshots of her DMs with LaPaglia, 26, which showed mostly pleasant exchanges save for an initial miscommunication related to Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, the media company that originally produced Call Her Daddy and currently produces LaPaglia’s podcast Plan Bri Uncut.
In the minutes that followed Cooper’s posts, LaPaglia responded on her own Instagram Stories. She began her video by dismissing “the people that are saying this Alex-on-Alix crime is like a f—ing PR stunt.”

“Please, guys, get a brain cell. I work at Barstool, so Dave introduced me to Alex Cooper. I was a fan of Alex Cooper before I knew the wrath of f—ing Alex Cooper and what she does to people and how she treats people,” LaPaglia said. “I am friends with Alix Earle. Alix Earle told me everything that transpired between those two two years ago at the Super Bowl. She told me everything. It didn’t happen between them at the Super Bowl, but that’s when she told me everything.”
She continued, “From what Alix Earle told me, Alex Cooper is a very, very mean person. Or maybe when Dave called me when Alex signed Grace to Unwell, and she called Dave and said, ‘I don’t give a f— about Grace, I don’t give a f— about Brianna, all I care about is making money.’ Yeah, maybe my f—ing narrative switched on you after I found things out about you. I used to be a fan.”
Representatives for LaPaglia, Cooper, Earle and Portnoy have not commented to PEOPLE.

Social media has long speculated about a rift between Cooper and Earle, but it all came to a head days before Cooper’s April 13 video. As she referenced in the video, Earle reposted a video on TikTok of another content creator calling Cooper “so awful” for telling people’s stories when they are at their lowest.
Rumors of a feud between the internet stars began when Earle’s podcast Hot Mess exited Unwell, the media network started and operated by Cooper, in March 2025. (Earle was also one of the first creators to be signed to the startup in 2023.)
That month, Cooper addressed Earle’s exit in a post on TikTok, writing, “Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can’t/what’s going on. Unwell gave her everything back she owns her IP.”
Two months later, when asked about the end of her relationship with Unwell in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Earle said, “That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess.”

Earle also seemed to hint at a potential feud in August with an eyebrow-raising comment on her TikTok page. When a fan asked her to “tell us what happened with Alex Cooper,” the content creator wrote back, “How much time do you have?”
But speaking to TIME in July, Earle promised to tell her side of the story on Earle Meets World, which starts streaming on Netflix on Sept. 4.
“There was a serious struggle behind the scenes of emotions, and my family showed up for me,” she said of what was captured in the reality series. “Those moments that sometimes seem so fun for people online, but are hard behind the scenes — I am happy that we were able to capture that.”
