Acquired Style’s Brigette Pheloung Is Married to Mitch McHale After Nearly 9 Years Together

The couple tied the knot 8 years after they first met at Saint Joseph’s University in Pennyslvania

Brigette Pheloung, the influencer behind the popular fashion and lifestyle social media page @AcquiredStyle, has married her longtime partner Mitch McHale.

The couple tied the knot a second time in an elegant ceremony in Newport, R.I., photographer Laura Gordon shared in her Instagram Stories. “Husband & Wife,” Pheloung, 29, captioned the photos, confirming they wed on Aug. 8.

Pheloung wore a Vera Wang wedding gown with a drop waist, full ballgown skirt, and large rose detailing at the waist. The influencer completed her look with a diamond necklace with a teardrop pendant, and her hair in a side part with old-Hollywood-inspired waves.

The pair had an outdoor ceremony overlooking the water with picturesque views, flanked by white floral arrangements composed of a blend of roses, hydrangeas, and more. Pheloung’s bouquet was also made of white roses.

Pheloung also shared a transition video from the moment she got ready to head down the aisle. “The dress of my dreams,” she captioned the video, starting off in a white lace loungewear set and eye patches before showcasing her dress and full glam.

The couple first met in college at Saint Joseph’s University when Brigette, whose twin sister Danielle also attended the school, was a junior and McHale a sophomore.

Danielle also shared a first glimpse at her wedding look. She wore a dramatic black drop waist gown to serve as her sister’s maid of honor, and shared a video in the dress on TikTok.

“We have been talking about being together for forever,” said Brigette in a video breaking down her engagement posted just after it occurred in June 2025.

Though the pair hosted a large celebratory bash, they have actually been married since June 29, after legally tying the knot at their alma mater.

“The day we got legally married 🤍 words can’t even describe how special this day was. We made it official exactly where it all started!” Pheloung captioned a post from the special day.

Piano music soundtracked the video, which also featured the bride and groom’s voices recalling the way they met almost a decade ago. “I feel like it’s something out of a movie. I feel like I was sitting down at a table studying, and I was like, ‘Who is that guy?’” she recalled. McHale added, “I just remember looking like a tunnel vision, seeing only her.”

They also showed footage of the spot where they had their first date, Parc restaurant in Philadelphia, where they seemingly held a party to celebrate their nuptials. In another clip, Pheloung can be seen wearing her lace, hooded white gown as she embraces her identical twin sister Danielle, the co-founder of their clothing brand Phe Phe.

The social media star got engaged on July 21, 2025, and since then, she’s consistently woven bridal content into her regular feed. In April, she captivated TikTok with her lavish bachelorette trip to St. Barths. Pheloung and more than 15 of her closest friends flew to the Caribbean on a decked-out private jet.

She’s also shared some of her more controversial takes on bridal trends with her audience.

She told PEOPLE in April that she had initially found the process of mapping out her dream wedding “intimidating and overwhelming,” given that “there’s a lot of moving parts,” but that leaning on McHale had been the most enjoyable part of the process. She also offered some sage advice for other women who are entering their bridal eras soon.

“Honestly, just living in the moment and enjoying it because it goes by so fast, and it’s truly such a fun process that you never get back,” she says. “Even though things might feel overwhelming or stressful, just remember that it’s seriously such a fun time and you’re so grateful to be in it. Remembering that is really helpful sometimes when you feel overwhelmed.”
