Patrick Mahomes is heading to his fifth Super Bowl.
The superstar quarterback, 29, will lead the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch from the 2023 big game.
If Mahomes and the Chiefs once again take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy, they will become the first team in history to win the Super Bowl three years in a row. But before the team hits the field in red and gold on Feb. 9, here’s a look back at all of Mahomes previous Super Bowl wins after first joining the league in 2017.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs faced the San Francisco 49ers for the second time in four years at the 2024 Super Bowl. While the game was tight, Kansas City walked away champions winning 25-22.
Following the big win, the quarterback was joined on the field by his wife, Brittany, and kids Sterling and Bronze (the proud parents became a family of five nearly a year later with the arrival of daughter Golden on Jan. 12, 2025).
Following the game, Mahomes was awarded Super Bowl MVP for the third time in his career in 2024 and became the first to win the title back-to-back since Terry Bradshaw in 1979 and 1980.

In 2023, the Chiefs were back in the big game — this time going up against the Philadelphia Eagles. The game was made more exciting as tight end Travis Kelce (seen here with Mahomes, Bradshaw and the Vince Lombardi Super Bowl trophy) was going up against his brother, Jason Kelce, who was an Eagles’ center at the time.
Mahomes, Kelce and the rest of the team beat out the Eagles by just a few points, winning 38-35.
Following the game, Mahomes was asked if the Chiefs were a “dynasty” after winning two Super Bowl titles in four years. “I’m not gonna say dynasty yet,” he responded. “We’re not done yet!”
2020: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mahomes’ first Super Bowl win came in 2020 — just three years after being drafted to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017. At just 24-years-old, he led the team to victory over the San Francisco 49ers, winning 31-20. In his first Super Bowl appearance he walked away the Super Bowl MVP and later that year was named one of Sports Illustrated’s five Sportsperson of the Year.
Following the big win, his now-wife Brittany showed some love to her high school sweetheart on Instagram, sharing a photo of the two of them surrounded by red and yellow confetti along with the caption: “We fought for our right to PAAAARTYYYY??? #chiefskingdom.”
The team was back at the Super Bowl in 2021 but fell to the Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 31-9 loss.
