The family of a 13-year-old boy who died in a crash on the evening of Good Friday have paid tribute to their “fun, bright, handsome, athletic, and incredibly well-liked” boy.
The teenager, identified by Bedfordshire Police as Noah Campbell, and two other teenage boys were involved in a collision between a car, a bike and a scooter in Flitwick, England, on the evening of Friday, April 3, according to Sky News.
Noah was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to the hospital, where one remains in a serious condition. The other has been treated for injuries and has been discharged, per Bedfordshire Police.
Noah's family paid tribute to him on Sunday, April 5, via Bedfordshire Police’s Facebook page, writing: “Above all else, Noah cherished spending time with his friends and family; they were the heart of his world."
“He was a talented and versatile sportsman. While football was his favourite sport — playing for many local teams — he was a gifted all-rounder who excelled in rugby, cricket, and athletics," they added.

They said that Noah “loved challenging himself” at the gym and spending time at the bike park. Some of his “happiest memories” included attending Liverpool FC and Luton Town FC soccer matches with his dad.
They added, “We would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are utterly devastated; Noah’s death has left a hole in our lives that will remain forever.”
Bedfordshire Police said that Noah's family has asked for privacy to grieve at this devastating time.
A 24-year-old was charged with causing death by careless driving, and an additional charge of causing death by careless driving while over the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, according to Bedfordshire Police. The BBC, Sky News and London-based newspaper, Metro named him as Jamie Fountain, of Flitwick.
The statement continued and said he was also “charged with two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving in relation to two other boys who were injured in the incident”, which took place at 11:50 p.m BST, according to the BBC.
“In addition, the man was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice,” Bedfordshire Police said.
Additionally, the police noted that a 23-year-old woman was charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. The outlets name her as Ellie Ireland, of Ampthill, also reporting that both have been remanded in custody to appear before Luton Magistrates' Court on Monday, April 6.
Detective Sergeant Shona Searle, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire serious collision investigation unit, told Sky News: "This incident has sent shockwaves through the small community of Flitwick and the surrounding area, and we maintain a community policing presence around the scene for reassurance.”
Sergeant Searle asked the public not to speculate on the “circumstances of the situation”, adding that the families are being supported through family liaison officers and have asked that their privacy be respected.
Bedfordshire Police were contacted by PEOPLE for further information, but did not immediately respond.
