Looking to upgrade your Super Bowl experience this year? Amazon’s best-selling video projector, which has more than 8,800 five-star ratings, is on sale for Prime members.
As a lifelong collector of movies and a home theater geek, I’m a big fan of affordable projectors because they open the gates for so many people who otherwise would never have wanted to deal with the cost of having cinema-style viewing at home. In the past decade, HD projectors have become progressively more lightweight, more user-friendly, and infinitely cheaper — and Amazon shoppers say this Happrun Bluetooth projector is a prime example of that.

This projector, like any at this price level, has a native 1080p resolution. That means a picture that’s full HD, but not 4K. Unless you want to see the fine details in every pixel, you won’t notice the difference because you’ll be marveling at the sheer size of the image it creates — which can stretch enough to fill up to a 200-inch screen.
The device itself is only 9.5 inches wide, 8.3 inches deep, and 3.8 inches tall, and it weighs less than 5 pounds. The size of the picture you’ll be able to get will depend on how much space you have in the room where you’re setting up the projector. To get the maximum size of 200 inches, for instance, the projector needs to be 16.4 feet from the screen, and the picture gets smaller the closer it moves to the screen.
It currently ranks as Amazon’s best-selling projector, and buyers have been impressed with what they’ve gotten for the price. “The picture quality is stunning,” wrote one shopper. “Colors are vibrant, details are sharp, and it handles fast-moving scenes flawlessly. Watching movies on this feels like being at the cinema.”
The easiest way to set up the projector is just to rest it on a table or tripod — the latter is super portable — but I recommend mounting it from the ceiling if you plan to use it permanently. That way, you don’t have to worry about blocking the image when you’re walking around the room. Any standard projector mount will work with this model (the sturdy ceiling mount I use is only $35). You can either buy a projector screen or beam it onto any white wall.
Happrun’s projector has an HDMI port, which you can connect to any streaming stick, gaming system, or Blu-ray player. While it has one HDMI port, I’ve used a cheap remote-controlled HDMI splitter to plug up to five devices into a single input when testing similar budget projectors.
“This projector is such a great deal,” said a second shopper. “The resolution delivers sharp, clear images, especially in dark rooms, and it’s super easy to use. It’s portable, high-quality, and perfect for movie nights in bed.”
The projector also has two USB ports, an AV input, and a 3.5mm audio jack. If you hate wires, it can also connect via Bluetooth to headphones, a speaker, or soundbar for an instant upgrade over the small speaker it has built in. Reviews say the noise its cooling fan makes — a major issue with some higher-end projectors — is hardly noticeable.
Amazon has a ton of projectors to choose from, but the Prime-exclusive deal on this Happrun Bluetooth projector is tough to top because of its top-rated status with buyers.
