A 10-year-old child is recovering at an Ohio hospital after being shot on Sunday morning.
Officers were called to a home on Willamont Road in Toledo at 11:13 a.m. on Feb. 8, according to a statement from the Toledo Police Department.
There, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound along with the individual they claim pulled the trigger, who is also 10-years-old.
That juvenile "located a firearm inside the residence, believed it to be unloaded, and unintentionally discharged it," police said.
It was also noted in the statement that a preliminary investigation into the matter indicated that the shooting was accidental.

Police said the families of both children were notified about the incident and the weapon that injured the victim was secured at the scene.
The victim is currently in stable condition at a local hospital and police are still investigating the matter.
Police did not provide the names of the children because they are minors.
There was no additional information available as of Monday, Feb. 9, but police noted that "additional information will be released as appropriate," per the statement.
